Livecareer makes it really difficult to cancel subscription.

I would not recommend signing up for their free trial because, despite their claims on the website, cancelling is extremely difficult. After numerous phone calls, emails and assurances that my subscription had been cancelled I was still being charged several months later.

I finally gave up and cancelled my credit card. The service Livecareer provided is largely formatting and in the end, I could have got a professional resume writer for amount of money they ended up charging me for what was supposed to be a 'free' trial. I know Livecareer's service sounds tempting and simple and uncomplicated and inexpensive.

It's none of these things. In work DON'T.

They did the same to me. This "Anna" person responds to all complaints to make it appear as though it was a mistake, and that their customer service will take care of it.

I lost over $500. This company is fraudulent.

To anyone thinking about using them, stay away! They bill in varying patterns so that they customer doesn't pick-up on the charges as easily.

They steal personal resumes and publish as sample resumes for public

This company steal information from some where and using the same resume's as sample resume with very little changes..This looks so dangerous than credit card fraud. Not sure how to file legal action.

They are publishing the personal information in the resume to public. What they are doing is illegal and unethical. Some one need to take action. Just like credit card fraud, or customer information act in health care, there got to be some legal law should take action on this company.

I did call them and they are very rude.. they say I do not need to talk loud and they hung up on me.

Stay away from this company. "Anna" poses as a customer service rep and responds to all complaints here to give the appearance of being a legit company.

They offer nothing of any quality, and will fraudulently bill you every 3 weeks or so using different company names so that you will not notice as easily. I lost over $500.

Also check out their BBB reviews. 100% negative.

Like many others, company started charging me for resume service I did not request

they billed me $19.95 a month twice each month, three days apart, when I caught the FRAUD and called they offered to credit me one charge of $19.95, not the $39.90 they were billing. I asked where they were located, I was told Costa Rica. I mistakenly said "Good, you are in a US territory, the rep laughed and said, no, Costa Rica, like Jurassic Park." too bad the T-Rex and raptors are only digital if this company could get a negative score that would be good to see them get even one star for their service is too much

I was on the phone with your representative that said he was trying to help cancel my service. This service was started by my son Todd and approved by me in June of 2016.

He used it and I have been paying $19.95 for another year with no use. Your representative was searching to find the account and so I waited. I waited for about 12 minutes while he searched. At about 8:05 pm Central time the phone went quiet.

He was gone.

So I tried to call back but I got the we are closed message call back during hours. If I was a suspicious person I would think your company was avoiding cancelling the service.

Sorry I missed your message. I've been sick and seeing doctors.

I would appreciate some help on this. We canceled this a month or two after the free trial but it just keeps coming out.

It needs to be cancelled at this time and some kind of relief from the months of charges on my Sam's Card without permission. I just got another one dated 10/20/17.

I have send 10 or more emails to them and always the same responce that they will not charge again my card and than oh joy it happens again...wtf? This company has been charging img me random amounts all over the value of $50 per month for at least the last 6 months with no varification on my side. I have no idea how long this has been happening and as far as I can remember I have had no dealings with them. Will be seeking legal action

This company is a complete fraud. I lost well over $500.

I signed up for a free trial and then cancelled when I realized the resume builder was a complete joke. They continued to bill me at varying times so that I wouldn't catch the charges as quickly.

They do not have customer service. Stay away.

I just lost 1000 $

I have used this website to build one resume which they said free and after that they taken away the money from my account last 28 month. They did not disclose any of the details in upfront so that I will not get fooled. Price details were not shown in the website main URLs.So guys please careful with this web site and don't get fooled by this web site. This is a terrible company!!!! NOT a US company as they claim. They are in Puerto Rico. They scammed our child and won't return our money. She was a minor and they online agreement was deceptive. Same here! Total fraud & scam- tried pushing a "offer" on my husband as he tried to just cancel when we found out what was happening - took 45 minutes to just get it to stop

LOST MY COVER LETTER!!!

So after spending several hours creating a cover letter that I was happy with I logged onto the LiveCareer site the next day only to find out that the letter is no longer there! I contacted the help department about this and spent 3 - 4 hours going around in circles, being asked the same question. I told them the exact date that I wrote this particular letter and they kept on asking me if I was referring to a letter that was written months prior to this letter. After literally banging my head against a wall for hours dealing with the technically inept help department I was told that they would get someone from IT onto the case and that this would take TWO to THREE DAYS.....!!!!! I asked the help department if they could search the server for me and look for a file that was created on the date that I gave them but I did not encounter anyone HELPFUL ENOUGH to actually be able to do this for me. In fact the only useful advice they did give me was that "in future I should download all of my CVs and Cover letters onto a Hard Drive" I am not surprised that there are 100s of complaints about this company online & I would suggest that if you are considering using them DONT!

I have been corresponding with Livecareer & you have told me that the letter cannot be recovered therefore, there is nothing you can do that will help me.

Let this be a warning to others, if you choose to use this service not only do they have questionable billing practices and a barrage of complaints about their services online, but they may also loose your hard work!!!

Scam - trail that turns into monthly billing with poor notification

This site is very useful and has benefits but I am absolutely gutted to find that they have been charging me monthly for the last few months. I only signed up for a trail and got NO notification. It may be stated in the terms but it is not normal to sneakily charge customers. I'm convinced they don't highlight the fact this will happen. I should have noticed it sooner on my statements. They need to make it much clearer about what happens after the trail. Other trail services are much better and honest about notifying customers about this. Taking this further with the consumer rights authority in Seattle.

Same issue happened to me just few days ago when I was in a hurry building my cover letter. I contacted with their customer service team and explained to them that I wasn't even aware of the reoccurring subscriptions and haven't use the service since the subscription reoccured.

Out of my expectation, they DID refunded me immediately. I respect the great service product they offered, but really do suggest them to expose every pieces of information about charges to customers, as to avoid unnecessary complaints.

Tried to take the free career test but got an "Oops! when it came time to get the results.

I used Livecareer for a resume template over a year ago. The resulting resume was in a useless format that I had to completely rewrite on my own. I cancelled my temporary account with them. I have recently discovered they have been charging me $39.80/month (But the charge dates vary by up to 2 weeks which is also very shady). I have not once received an email, or statement stating that I am being billed, or that my account would continue after the one-year anniversary, etc. I am out close to $700 because of their sneakiness. These guys get away with it due to hiding these charges in very small print but on the main web page, tell a different story to get you. I'm disputing the charges, I don't care if I have to spend more money on a lawyer. This company has been preying on people for a long time and it needs to stop. Now I await some reply email by this Anna person who claims she'll resolve my complaint if I email the company. I've already done that, and received no response.

I used the service to only find out i had to PAY to download my resume. I paid their $1 trial amount and promptly after downloading my resume, i cancelled the subscription.

They billed me "discretely" for 12 months of $29.80 and told me that the first cancellation just must have failed to go through. Just sucks for me huh?!?! Now i am out at least $350 because of this hiccup in their system. I can also see that this just seems to be their way of doing all their customers as i have found MANY complaints.

Personal I believe a refund should be in order, as i haven't even used the site since then. Very dissatisfied, I wouldn't even let these guys have the burnt cookies.
