Today I had the same issue. LiveCareers an online resume builder company, drafted $39.95 from my account. The first CSR was not willing to reverse the charge but did cancel the subscription, but not without lecturing on my responsibility as the consumer to cancel prior to 14 day trial. I called back and spoke to another CSR and pretty much got the same thing, however she was slightly and I do mean slightly less annoying. She did in fact refund my dough and sent me confirmation of the re-credited amount on my card. It seems like a common practice with subscriptions to put the responsibility on the consumer to cancel services. People have enough to do in their day-to-day lives then worry about remembering to cancel subscriptions. It seems almost predatory. That withstanding, there should be some type of advance automated notification so the consumer can then make a cognitive decision to re-evaluate, substantiate, or terminate.

I think there intention is to exploit whether or not their service is beneficial or not.

Where on earth will you practice an auto-renewal without informing the customer.

I smell a bad intention, i smell fraud

There is no such "cancel subscription"

I do not know how to cancel it, but I reported to the bank.

how can i cancel my subscription?

Guest

I called on 9/1 to cancel. I called on 9/28 to cancel.

they said they have to record of the first call. OK please cancel the account.

Now its 10/28 and I have 2 charges on my account. What seems to be the problem?
